Dr. Thobias Raphael Mnyasenga is a Tanzanian legal scholar, practitioner, and academic serving as a Lecturer at Mzumbe University (Dar es Salaam Campus College). He holds a Ph.D. in Law, anLL.M., an LL.B. (all from Mzumbe University), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania.
A registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, Commissioner for Oaths, and Notary Public, Dr. Mnyasenga also serves as a professionally trained Mediator and Arbitrator with the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators (TIArb). His expertise spans labor and employment consultancy, institutional restructuring, alternative dispute resolution, and legal aid advocacy.
Former Head of Department for Constitutional and Administrative Law (2017–2023), he chairs multiple educational governing boards and has consulted for high-profile institutions including the National Assembly of Tanzania, the Tanganyika Law Society, and the UNDP. He played a foundational role in establishing the Mzumbe University Legal Aid Clinic.
